When it comes to selecting suppliers, Helsana is guided by ethical, ecological and economic principles. The majority of our suppliers are service providers from Switzerland or the EU.

We expect our suppliers and service providers to comply, at all times, with the statutory provisions (pursuant to Articles 964j - 964l of the Swiss Code of Obligations) in connection with the “Ordinance on Due Diligence and Transparency in relation to Minerals and Metals from Conflict-Affected Areas and Child Labour” (DDTrO). As part of our auditing obligations and in order to avoid child labour, we requested additional information from all suppliers with the potential for child labour in the reporting year to confirm compliance with the statutory provisions. In particular, this involved suppliers of IT hardware, office furniture, office supplies and promotional items. We also take sustainability criteria into account in tenders.
