Helsana is a reliable healthcare partner for more than 2 million customers. We consistently deliver on what we promise and meet our customers’ needs by offering high-quality products and services. We are also actively committed to an affordable, accessible and high-quality healthcare system.

Society also expects Helsana to make a reliable contribution to social and ecological sustainability. As a result, we have consolidated information on our various internal and external measures and initiatives, enabling us to now report on our social and ecological commitment for the very first time.

Our premium policy is geared towards achieving a balanced underwriting result so that we can continue to ensure solid solvency going forward. Consequently, we adjusted our basic insurance premiums in 2023 to reflect the actual development in healthcare costs. We were able to cushion this adjustment thanks, among other things, to a further marked reduction in our operating expenses. Helsana will remain a sustainably healthy company, a secure and attractive employer and a reliable healthcare partner for our customers in the future.

After an enormously challenging previous year, 2023 turned out to be more encouraging. All in all, the Helsana Group achieved a positive annual result of CHF 49 million for 2023 and underscored its financial strength with equity of CHF 2.7 billion, meaning that it continues to fulfil the statutory solvency requirements.
